DaVinci Resolve only supports Uncompressed .AVI or GoPro Cineform .AVI. If you choose either of these as the codec of your script in VirtualDub2 then you will not have to convert your scripted AMV before importing it into DaVinci Resolve.
If you want a smaller scripted AMV file size, and you picked MagicYUV or Lagarith Lossless Codec, then you will have to convert this into a format that DaVinci Resolve can use.

The fastest way to convert your video is by importing your scripted AMV into VirtualDub2 and picking ‘GoPro Cineform’ → ‘Configure’ → then pick ‘Filmscan 3’ as the quality.

Since it is Lossless compression, the file will be big but, it will encode very quickly, even for a 4K video. You can delete it soon after you finish encoding the final in DaVinci Resolve as well as the original scripted AMV file.

Go to File → Save video

Open DaVinci Resolve and Import your GoPro Cineform AVI encode out that just completed.
- Go to the ‘Deliver’ tab on the bottom right of the screen
Now adjust to these settings. Everything else can be left as default.
