Footage preparation for ease of use in editing software, scripting to make the quality of your finished video as good as it can be, how to encode it for upload to preserve it in the best quality possible on Youtube as well as all of the programs and tools needed to do so.
- Is this guide applicable to any editing software?
This guide is written primarily for Adobe and Sony Vegas editors, but the same can be applied to most editing software. There is a completely different footage preparation process for DaVinci Resolve which will not be covered in this guide.
- Can these steps run on AMD CPU or Intel CPU based systems?
Yes, the CPU does not matter. However, the final encoding step may vary depending on if you have an NVIDIA graphics card or not. It will take longer to do if you don't, but you will have the same result.
- Can I run this on a low end machine or do I need high end specs to be able to use any of this?
This guide works well for people for people even on exceptionally low-end machines and performs well on high-end rigs. I will cover different methods for people on different levels of hardware to be able to assess which ones they need to use.
- Do I need a lot of hard drive space to utilize the methods in this guide?
The footage preparation step has different levels depending on how much space you want to dedicate to footage. You will need at least 100-150GB of free space consistently to use for this to be utilized effectively.
